Setting: Tides Within - Yoga and movement space. Dim lighting and soft interiors.

Introduction: I will start the session with a brief introduction, explaining the concept of sound healing, the instruments I’ll use, and what participants can expect during the session. I will guide you through breath and meditation, easing into our Yang to Yin practice.

Sound Bath: During this time, I will guide everyone into a relaxation pose with props to provide extra comfort. This could be laying down or seated. I will play the instruments harmoniously and allow the sounds and vibrations to wash over you.

Meditation and Relaxation: As the sound bath progresses, participants are encouraged to close their eyes, relax, and focus on the sounds and sensations they experience. This can help them enter a meditative state and deepen their relaxation.

Emotional Release: Sound healing can sometimes trigger emotional responses as it works on a deep level. Some participants may experience feelings of release, clarity, or even mild emotional processing during or after the session.

Healing Intentions: I may invite participants to set their own healing intentions for the session. This could be anything from reducing stress and anxiety to promoting physical healing or emotional well-being.

Duration: Approximately 15 mins meet and greet. 60 mins movement 30 mins sound bath. 15 mins good byes.

Closing: I will gently bring the session to a close, allowing participants to slowly reorient themselves and return to a more awake and alert state.

In this class, we seamlessly transition from the energetic Yang phase to the nourishing Yin embrace. Yang fires you up with an invigorating sequence, paving the way for a gradual descent into the yin.

We will work through multiple movement practices including animal movement, yoga, floor work.

We will come down into a stretchy yin style practice, which will lead into the sound bath element of the workshop.

Yang to Yin - Yes! Whether you are new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner, this is an open level class. Requirement: You must be able to get up off the floor and walk without assistance.

Sound - We will go over any health concerns you may have. Certain frequencies may create uncomfortable sensations if you or anyone in your group has metal plates/screws in the body. Those with pacemakers or hearing aids will need to seek medical approval before attending the sessions.

Sound healing is deeply rooted in the understanding that our bodies and minds are also composed of these vibrational energies. When we experience physical or emotional imbalances, certain frequencies of sound can be used to restore equilibrium, promoting healing and wellness.
