Feeling exhausted is a common menopausal symptom. This could be through lack of sleep due to night sweats and changing sleep patterns, or it could be through feelings of anxiety or overwhelm. Whatever the cause, lack of sleep can aggravate symptoms and make the menopause transition feel harder.

This workshop welcomes you to a cocoon of nurturing rest where you can restore your energy levels and soothe your nervous system allowing you to rest deeply and leave refreshed.

What to expect:

  • welcome

  • opening yoga nidra

  • sharing circle and breathwork

  • gentle movements to release tension and promote rest

  • main yoga nidra practice

  • gentle movements to awaken and refresh

  • closing circle, questions and reflections

 

Who is this for:

Any women in perimenopause or menopause who feels exhausted and depleted

 

What to bring:

  • While mats and bolsters are provided I would advise you to bring a cushion and cosy blanket as the comfier you are the easier you will find it to relax.

  • Please wear comfy clothes that allow easy movement. Wearing layers allows you to adjust your temperature more easily if you are prone to hot flushes.

About Susan

Susan is a registered yoga therapist, Thai yoga massage practitioner and menopause yoga teacher. She believes that simple, therapeutic yoga techniques can help people to live their lives with more ease. She has a special interest in adapting yoga for women's health, and in particular how it can help women who are navigating the physical and mental challenges of the menopause.
