Hi,

I’m Elmarie Carter

a newly qualified yoga teacher and passionate enthusiast. My goal is to share the many benefits of yoga, just as so many dedicated yogis do.

However, during my teacher training, I realized that I wanted to go beyond general yoga instruction—I wanted to offer something more specific and meaningful for a group that often goes unnoticed: women approaching and going through menopause.

With that in mind, I’d love to offer a menopause yoga workshops developed by Petra Coveney.

This is a specialized practice designed to help women manage the physical and emotional challenges of perimenopause, menopause, and beyond.

Despite being a major life transition, menopause is often overlooked, leaving many women to struggle with symptoms without adequate support or understanding.

“Menopause is often overlooked”

Setup for a yoga or meditation class with black mats, red cushions, folded blankets, potted plants, and singing bowls arranged on a wooden floor against a beige wall.
A woman practicing yoga indoors, standing on a yoga mat in a balancing pose with one leg bent and foot resting on her inner thigh, arms raised overhead and hands pressed together. She appears focused and calm.

While regular yoga classes can be beneficial, certain practices—such as dynamic vinyasa flows—can sometimes exacerbate symptoms.

This workshops offers women tools and techniques to help with their changing needs, empowering them to adapt their personal yoga practice in a way that nurtures rather than overwhelms.

In this safe and welcoming space, you will explore:

Yoga postures to support muscle and bone health Techniques for brain health and cognitive well-being

Tools to navigate mood swings and emotional shifts

CBT-informed meditation for acceptance and self-compassion

Restorative yoga to ease insomnia, fatigue, and low mood

Breathing practices for stress relief, hot flushes, and anxiety

Journaling prompts for reflection, self-discovery, and connection

✨ No prior yoga experience needed. Spaces are limited. ✨ We close with a deeply relaxing sound bath and a nourishing selection of food and drinks.
